The opportunity    

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Water and Sewer Services Planner to join the Strategic and Asset Planning team.  The Water and Sewer Services Planner will provide strategic planning for the long-term development and operation of Council's water supply and sewerage schemes.

To be successful in this position, you should possess tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar; experience in water and waste water asset planning; project management, organisation and time management skills; and experience in the management of consultants and contracts.

Key accountabilities

The tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Developing long term infrastructure plans for water supply, treatment and distribution, and waste water collection, treatment and disposal.
  • Assisting with the development of Water and Sewer Business Plans and the Integrated Water Cycle Management Plan
  • Assisting with long term financial modelling for water and sewer services
  • Coordinating Developer Servicing Plans for water and sewer infrastructure
